All but just few of the parrots we have here at the sanctuary have been horribly abused. They have suffered being thrown against walls, beaten with sticks, shot up with drugs, and other ugly and cruel things done to them. The larger parrots, and Macaws were so violent that animal control would have put them down. I have stopped this from happening in six counties, here in northern California. Each and every bird I have here at the sanctuary now knows, thrust and love. After working with birds for over 45 years, I now have my sancuary for these birds to come to. We do not sell birds, breed birds, or buy birds  here. We save birds. If you would like to help without the need of sending a monetary donation, then please just send us food and large cages, and bird toys! That is what the money would be used for folks. We feed our birds only the best of the best in foods. Zupreem fruit blend flavor for large parrots, and Kaytee Fiesta Max for Macaws. They also eat many different types of nuts, in the shell. Almonds, Walnuts, Pistacio, Hazel, Brazil, to name a few. WE do NOT give our birds peanuts! I give all of who and what I am to restoring their right to live without harm, and most of all to love.
